Faculty of Medicine, University of Thessaly
The Faculty of Medicine was founded in 1985 and first accepted students in the academic year 1990-1991. It is the first faculty during the development of the School of Health Sciences of the University of Thessaly, it has been autonomous since 1995 and operates in Larissa.

The Department of Nursing (School of Health Sciences of the University of Thessaly) is located in Larissa, in the Gaiopolis region and is one of the nine homonymous departments operating in Greece.
The purpose of the Department of Nursing is to prepare Nurses, who provide high-quality nursing health care and promote, protect, maintain and restore the health of individuals, groups and populations, taking into account the special characteristics of each individual, physical, mental, cognitive, spiritual as well as social, economic and cultural.
